THE 3 STEPS TO FOLLOW
To prepare your tea properly
The right dosage –
To enjoy all the flavors and aromas of your tea, count 2 grams of tea for a volume of water between 100 and 150 ml. Obviously, each to their own! If you prefer a tea with a stronger character, we give you the choice to add a little 🙂 but not too much! To put it simply, the more leaves you add, the more notes and textures your tea will release. Add about 1 teaspoon for small leaves and one tablespoon for large leaves and pour the desired amount into your filter or teapot.
The right temperature –
The heat of the water is of the utmost importance in brewing your tea. Water should never be boiling. Too high a heat can exaggerate some of your tea’s aromas and give it an unpleasant bitterness taste in the mouth. Usually, the water temperature is adjusted according to the tea chosen. This can vary between 70 ° and 100 ° C, depending on the type of tea. To find you there and know the ideal heat, we mention on each of our packages the temperature to be respected
A precise infusion time –
Most often, people opt for a steeping time to their liking, but we recommend that you steep your tea for at least 3 minutes and no longer than 8 minutes. The brewing time may vary depending on the tea chosen. All our tea bags contain the necessary indications for an optimal infusion. If you’re not sure how long to take, start by steeping 3 minutes for your 1st cup. Wait 30 more seconds for each new cup until you find the flavor you want.
Small bonus!
A little advice to lower the theine concentration: pour a little simmering water over the tea, let it steep for 20 seconds, then throw in this first water. The action removes more than half of the theine from the drink. You had to know it!
