Sencha organic green tea means “Steam tea” (“Sen” means “serve or brew” with hot water and “cha” means “tea”), it can be said that it is also the king of green teas. It is a great classic in China and Japan where it is widely consumed, especially for its virtues. It has a delicate, light and subtle taste. This tea comes from a fine spring harvest. It is immediately recognized by its long green leaves which reveal in your cup, during its infusion, a golden yellow color. Surprising for a green tea! Their leaves are often obtained from tea bushes grown from Yabukita seeds.

Sencha green tea is rich in antioxidants. It has soothing properties and its fresh, vegetal and balanced taste make it an excellent introduction to green tea. This tea also plays a preventive role in many diseases such as cancer. It also fights against the signs of aging: it stimulates cognitive functions and delays the appearance of wrinkles.

Remember to respect an infusion time of 2/3 minutes. Beyond the recommended time, a large amount of tannins is released into the water. Excess tannins create unwanted interactions with other tea components and inhibit some of the positive health effects of green tea. It would be a shame to spoil such a good tea 🙂
