It is the traditional drink of the Chinese emperors. Its carefully produced leaves give it a particularly soft character. The bud and first leaf of this precious tea grown in China’s Fujian Province are picked in small quantities in the spring. Upon brewing, the whole leaves unfurl offering a delicate flavor. This tea is very low in tannins, giving a light orange infusion with vegetal notes. You can consume it at any time of the day and even let it steep up to 3 times.

Infusion temperature

80°C

Duration of infusion

1.5/2 minutes

Best moment

During the day

Also called “Emperor’s Tea” or “Bai Mu Dan” or “White Peony” white tea, Pai Mu Tan white tea is named after one of the most beautiful flowers in China: White Peony.
